Lesson 1 · Call script workshop

The First-Call Trust Map

Turn the first borrower call into a clear expectation-setting conversation.

Scenario

A borrower wants a fast answer, but the MLO needs to gather facts, explain process, and avoid premature certainty.

Learner Outcome

The member can run a first call that captures goals, constraints, proof needed, next step, and communication expectations.

Skool summary

The first call sets trust: goal, timeline, facts, proof, next step, and when the borrower hears from you again.

1

Trust map

Map goal, timeline, cash, comfort, known constraints, proof needed, decision point, and update rhythm. The borrower should know what happens next before the call ends.

2

Expectation language

Say: 'I want to move quickly, but I do not want to give you false certainty. Here is what we can know today, what we need to verify, and when I will update you.'

3

Close the loop

Send a recap that lists what was discussed, documents needed, next action, and timing. Trust often lives in the recap.

Homework

  • Write your first-call opener and recap template.
  • Remove any sentence that creates approval certainty before proof.
